👉 Tax Season Is About to Open: What You Should (and Shouldn’t) Be Doing Right Now

Tax season is expected to open soon (IRS says January 26th), and I’m already seeing a lot of anxiety — and a lot of misinformation circulating.

What do solopreneurs and families need to know now?

Here’s the truth: the opening of tax season does not mean you should rush to file immediately.

What does make sense right now is preparation.

This is a good time to:
Start gathering tax documents as they arrive
Note any changes from last year (income, work, family, health, or major expenses)
Make a short list of questions or uncertainties while they’re fresh

What doesn’t help:
Guessing at numbers
Filing with incomplete information
Relying on last year’s return without checking what changed

One of the biggest stress-reducers during tax season is good recordkeeping. Clean, organized records make tax prep smoother, more accurate, and far less overwhelming.
You don’t need to do everything at once.

You just need to take the right first steps — calmly and intentionally.

👉 My goal is always the same: help you stay organized, tax-ready, and confident — without panic or pressure.
